Robyn turns 21!

On Saturday 11th July, we attended a 21st Birthday Braai (bar-be-que) for my niece Robyn McNicol. It was fun to get together with family and have this celebration! It was our first 'real' braai since we left SA for NZ. While we were in Aus, we had a gas cooked braai and none at all in NZ because it is against the law to have an open flame fire. So, what a joy it was to smell the meat and boerewors sizzling over the hot coals! There is nothing like it in the whole world! Along with the braai meat and boerewors there were the traditional South African dishes of 'pap and sous' (maize meal and tomato/onion gravy), banana salad and a few other delicious things to eat. Thank you to Allan and Cheryl for putting on a good celebration! What an awesome evening!
