A Look Back at Lockdown in South Africa - Day 2

Entries from my Covid 19 Pandemic Lockdown journal:

March 28th, 2020

Day 2 of SA 🔒⬇️

We woke to silence and cold gray skies. Something I was really thankful for. Cold weather makes us slow down and linger longer. I was grateful for the slower start to the day.

The weight of the situation settled on me today. I found myself feeling anxious
and tearful at times. I am choosing HOPE...but those other feelings came pushing in today.

*  I connected with several friends online today and family also. It was GOOD!
*  Some chores were done but just the absolutely necessary ones.
*  Some watched movies, others listened to music, and some read.
*  I doodled and journaled, baked and cooked and had a long afternoon nap!
*  Our pup Tris was kept entertained and quiet...it's been a tough few days for her.
*  Some swing ball was played, Rooibos Cappuccino enjoyed and
general laziness indulged in. We really needed it!
* On the menu was home baked cheese scones. I make them in wedges instead of round.
We also enjoyed baked bean and bacon sauce on jacket potatoes, topped with a
    fresh fine garden salad.

It feels really strange to NOT be going out of our yard, not visiting anyone and having no visitors at our house. In one way it's really refreshing to have this social break, but it also feels so strange. We are forbidden from having gatherings of any kind. Church has been cancelled, and each family must make their own plans to worship at home.

Doodling my feelings about the Pandemic.

We closely monitor the statistics of positive cases.

Cheese scones baked in wedges.

Tomorrow is Sunday and we will have church at home.
