A Look Back at Lockdown in South Africa - Day 10

April 5th, 2020 

Day 10 of SA 🔒⬇️

Ten days!

Ten days of staying at home.

Ten days of not seeing anyone else.

It feels surreal and strange.

It feels overwhelming and scary.

I am grateful for good things to do today that lifted our spirits.

We woke to brilliant sunlight! 

This lovely light was so sorely needed after days of wonderful nonstop rain. 

We received an invitation to fast and pray on Good Friday, April 10th.

An invitation from President Nelson, received in General Conference.

* We enjoyed a yummy breakfast of German pancake with bacon and buttermilk sauce. 

A first for us, all homemade, and it was a taste sensation.
* We watched the Saturday evening session of General Conference. It was so special.
* We spent time sitting in the glorious sunlight ... my bones really needed it.
* We had a simple dinner of toasted chicken mayo sandwiches and then got ready for the Sunday Morning session of Conference ... livestreamed at 6pm our time. 
*  The messages were full of hope and light and love. 

I am so grateful to be a witness of Gods magnificent work happening on the earth today. 
*  We participated (along with millions of other members, in their homes across the world) in the Hosanna Shout. What a wonderful and sacred experience.

 A first for us! I love that it took place today on Palm Sunday.

* I sent out a special Palm Sunday message to my brothers and sister. 
* Nic between Nic took some photos of the garden to share on his page later in the week,

 and we enjoyed homemade 3 ingredient banana bread. Delicious! 
It has been a day filled with blessings xxx
