A Visit to 'Harties' on New Year's Day

On New Year's Day we took a mini road trip approximately one hour north west of us
to Hartebeespoort Dam.  It had been a very long while since we visited there.

The day was hot when we headed out.

We stopped along the way to admire the roadside scenery, and to walk our pup Tris,
whom we had brought with for the outing.

We discovered beautiful crafts on display, hanging in the trees.

Madison and I, particularly loved the variety of heart ornaments.

This craft centre was closed, so we just enjoyed all that was on display outside.

We then enjoyed a light lunch at The Koffee Café.
A little rustic café situated in The Chameleon Village.

Being the frugal family that we are, we enjoyed our lunch courtesy of prepaid Hyperli
vouchers which I had purchased back in October at the unbelievable cost of R126.

4 lunches including a beverage of choice for a total of R126.
You cannot beat a GOOD deal.

The food was simple and delicious. It took a while to be served, as the café was very busy
and the food is all freshly made to order.  Incredibly yummy and so worth the drive and wait!
We particularly loved that they are pet friendly.

We will definitely be visiting them again.

On the way home we stopped to take photos of the view from the bridge as we crossed over Hartebeespoort Dam.

Beautiful!
